The State Farm Northshore Claims Office covers St. Tammany, Washington and
Tangipahoa parishes and employs 40 people. Originally, Paul Gasser, a local
land owner and appraiser offered to build State Farm a new Service Center
just across the highway from its former location. However, initial pricing
indicated that the somewhat unattractive building, designed in Oklahoma,
would be above the pre-determined budget for the project. DonahueFavret Contractors
offered Mr. Gasser the opportunity of value engineering, in which the building
could be redesigned to meet his cost needs and give the project more curb
appeal. DFC, working along with Architect Ron Kilcrease, constructed a beautiful
10,400 square foot building that met the needs of State Farm and was completed
within the project budget.
