DonahueFavret Contractors was selected by bid to construct this kindergarten through third grade school designed by Fauntleroy and Latham Architects, along with J. Ashley Inabnet. Total project cost was $2,900,000.

Whispering Forest Elementary is located in Slidell, Louisiana, and is a spacious facility, covering 70,000 square feet under beam. DFC began by combining a pre-engineered building, structural steel and metal roof panels on a post tension slab. Painted concrete block walls were utilized for the classrooms adding to the cost effective design. This St. Tammany Parish School was completed on schedule in 300 days.
