Featured Profile: Gallo Mechanical and Commercial Painting
Gallo Mechanical: The principals of this company literally lost everything they had in the storm. They all live in New Orleans and they each had from four to eight feet of water in their homes. Their business, also located in New Orleans, had nine feet of standing water in it!! They rebounded quickly and set up temporary offices on the site of the Louisiana Hospital in Hammond and in Baton Rouge. They went back to work on September 6, 2005, one week after the storm.
Commercial Painting: The president of this company, Eddie Schnauder, knew he needed to beef up his already large work force to meet the demands of his regular customers. He theorized that it was the only way that he could provide the level of service that the area had come to expect from Commercial Painting. His solution was to house both new and existing employees at his office warehouse in Metairie.
