DAILY UPDATE FOR 2/21/06

Summary of Yesterday’s Progress and Build Facts:

• Framing began and continued throughout the day
• Repair began to steeple roof
• Installation and Patching of new sub floors
• Interior painting of church began

• Pews will be moved back to the sanctuary area
• Upholstery on pews begins today
• The gym floor is being laid today
• Painting on the gym walls will be completed today
• Carpet in the sanctuary will be completed today

Featured Profile: LVI Environmental and O’Brien Flooring:

LVI Environmental: This large national company has been in the area since Katrina blew through. They are providing for the well being of over three thousand employees in the effected area. On the EXTREME MAKEOVER site they are responsible for the initial project clean up as well as all the demolition and asbestos abatement.
O’Brien Flooring: O’Brien Flooring has the overall responsibility for the carpeting on the project. Carpeting is being placed throughout the chapel, first and second floor, as well as certain areas in the Gymnasium building. This company is located in Slidell, Louisiana, which was devastated by Katrina. They recovered quickly and provided needed services throughout the stricken area.
