DAILY UPDATE FOR 2/22/06

Summary of Yesterday’s Progress and Build Facts:

• The pews were moved back into the sanctuary area
• Upholstery on the pews is started
• The gym floor was laid
• Painting on the gym walls was completed
• Carpeting in the sanctuary was also completed

• Final painting in all areas is being completed
• Final cleaning is underway in all areas
• Landscaping is being installed
• Demobilization is started

Featured Profile: Stewart Interiors and Louisiana Landscape:

Stewart Interiors: This company is home based in Jefferson Parish but also has offices in Houston. Right after the storm they were able to really beef up their local drywall forces by bringing in workers from their Houston offices. President and CEO Gordon Stewart even housed some of the imported workers in his home.
Louisiana Landscape: This company is located both the north and the south shores and have been providing landscaping services in the area for a number of years. When asked to participate they immediately said yes and provided design concepts for approval as well as the actual labor and plant material on the site.
