DonahueFavret Contractors was chosen by Liberty Health Care Services to be the general contractor for “Southerland Place,” an upscale 84 unit assisted living facility located in Mandeville, Louisiana. The building is approximately 54,000 square feet, and offers three client accessible landscaped courtyards, where activities encourage interaction with the environment. It is centered around an “Our Town” theme. The complex consists of a single story wood framed structure with a synthetic plaster and brick exterior. The elegant interior of the facility has many amenities including base, crown and picture molding, coffered ceilings, tuscan columns and elegant lighting. Among the high quality interior finishes, wall covering and carpeting are in all public areas intermixed with attractive wood flooring. A custom fabricated handrail lines the public areas in the entire facility to provide assistance to the residents. The building also includes a full service kitchen, three dining rooms, two solariums, four living rooms, two nurses stations, an Alzheimer ward and several group activity areas.
