The Tulane Cancer Center is a partnership of Tulane University Hospital and the HCA Healthcare Corporation. It is located on the ground floor of the Saratoga parking garage directly adjacent to the main Hospital facility. DonahueFavret Contractors was proud to be chosen general contractor for this facility, which offers a complete range of services for cancer patients, including prevention and early detection, treatment, rehabilitation and continuing care, all in one convenient location.

This State of the Art facility houses both a linear accelerator and a simulator. The vault containing this equipment consists of concrete walls up to eight feet thick and a concrete roof deck up to two feet thick. The containment structure is further protected with steel plates in the walls and ceiling. The Cancer Center covers an approximate 28,000 square feet, including ten exam rooms, an infusion suite, a minor procedure room, a laboratory and an oncology pharmacy. Additional rooms include two conference rooms, a teleconferencing room, medical records room, the Cancer Counseling Center, the Office of Clinical Research and Tulane's tumor registry program. A short completion time of only 210 days for such a technically complicated facility was obtainable because of the excellent cooperation between Hansen, Lind and Meyer, Inc., the Tulane staff and DFC personnel.
