Customer service, convenience and satisfaction are the heart of Fidelity Homestead,
serving the community since 1908. They have built a strong savings and loan
association that exceeds the requirements for financial reserves. DonahueFavret
Contractors constructed the Covington branch facility using a combination
of structural steel, load bearing wood framing and laminated wood beams.
Interior finishes included matching mahogany doors, base, tellers counter
and crown molding. The lobby is highlighted by a four surface cathedral ceiling
finished with smooth-textured gypsum board. The exterior consists of modular
brick masonry with several triple-brick bands in an accent color. The roof
system is an architectural standing seam roof with no exposed fasteners.
Surrounding the attractive building are beautifully landscaped and lighted
grounds. The project was completed in only 165 days.
Three additional branches of Fidelity Homestead were awarded
to DFC, which included Slidell, Kenner and River Ridge, Louisiana.
The similar projects were constructed of single story 4,000
square foot wood framed brick buildings, with four drive-thru
teller lanes. The buildings feature vaulted lobby ceilings,
EIFS soffits and fascias and Berridge metal panel roof systems
that were fabricated on site. The scope of work also included
subsurface drainage, extensive site paving, and landscaping
with irrigation systems. Each project was successfully completed
in only 90 days.
